This is one day retreat is open for anyone who wishes to attend. It is co-sponsored by the Benedictine Sisters Retreat Center in Cullman, AL and the Office of Lay Ministry for the Diocese.
May 18, 2014 – May 24, 2014
This retreat focuses on some of the signs of a healthy spirituality such as friendship, love and respect for creation, the balancing of work and leisure, prayer, laughter, compassion, and the ability to live with adversity and ambiguity. Using scripture, music, stories, and humor, Sister Melannie will lead us in prayerfully exploring God’s active presence in our everyday lives.

Sister Melannie will speak at the 41st Annual Senior Celebration. The morning also includes an ecumenical prayer service, sharing, and lunch by Aladdin Food Service.

Sister Melannie will give a presentation for the wives of the deacons of the Cleveland diocese. Her presentation is entitled “Is Mary a Noun or a Verb?”
